The Michigan Foundation for Education Leadershipâ„¢ (MFEL) is a nonprofit organization established in 1990
to receive, hold, invest and administer funds and to
make expenditures to aid in the fulfillment of
educational needs and create new avenues for
educational excellence throughout the State of Michigan.
MFEL organizes the Governor’s Education Summit™, a premier conference on the latest issues in education, which is co-hosted with the Education Alliance of Michigan. Another project, the Parent Leadership Institute Network trains parent s to be leaders in their schools with the goal of establishing a network of parents.
