21st Century Learning: A Foundation for a Prosperous Michigan

March 4, 2008
Lansing, Michigan

We hope you plan to join us for the 2008 Governor’s Education Summit™ to be held on March 4, 2008 at the Lansing Center. We look forward to having nearly 1,000 educators from throughout Michigan join us for this exciting day.

As you know, the students we interact with today will face a new world of work. New ideas about what actually defines a job will continue to evolve over time. As a result, education today is called upon to prepare our students to enter this new environment. Beyond the basics, students will need 21st century skills to survive and thrive in a world of work that is still being designed and developed.

Preparing our youth for the 21st century will take all of us working together. It will be an exciting journey - and one that will be refined and revisited many times along the way. The Governor’s Education Summit™ is the perfect opportunity to learn more about 21st century learning, as well as begin to plan for this new way of educating students!

Participants will learn about 21st century skills from experts in the field, have a chance to see and experience innovative, technology-related programs and tools, and have access to an extensive exhibit area.
