Alan November
November Learning

Alan November is recognized internationally as a leader in education technology. He began his career as an oceanography teacher and dorm counselor at an island reform school for boys in Boston Harbor. He has been a director of an alternative high school, computer coordinator, technology consultant, and university lecturer. As practitioner, designer, and author, Alan has guided schools, government organizations and industry leaders as they plan to improve quality with technology.

 

Yong Zhao, PhD
Michigan State University

Yong Zhao is a University Distinguished Professor in the Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology, and Special Education at the College of Education, where he also serves as the Founding Director of the Center for Teaching and Technology. Dr. Zhao’s research interests include diffusion of innovations, teacher adoption of technology, computer-assisted language learning, globalization and education, and international and comparative education.

Mike Flanagan
Superintendent of Public Instruction

Mike Flanagan leads the Michigan Department of Education and helps direct the State Board of Education in advising the governor and the state legislature regarding public education in Michigan. Flanagan, who recently developed an Office of Education Technology within the Department of Education, expects his department to help lead the evolution of changing Michigan classrooms into technology learning centers.
